In the nightly newscast "State of the Nation with Jessica Soho," a GMA News reporter said that one of the platforms of ALYANSA in the upcoming University Student Council is, to quote, "zero fraternities in the University of the Philippines." ALYANSA did not make any such statement, and would like to reiterate that while it is for "zero tolerance on fraternity-related violence," the formation is not pushing for the elimination of fraternities inside the university.
